Rice Bowl Mission is a partnership between the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand and the Presbyterian Church of Myanmar. To read the story behind the name click here.
Our brothers and sisters in Myanmar have so much to teach us about courage, faith, generosity and hospitality.
In return, we have much to share with them.
The Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand and the Presbyterian Church of Myanmar are committed to supporting one another to bring life to our communities.
We are seeing lives and communities transformed and you can be part of it.
We believe that by working together we can each give and receive
Here are some of the ways you can work with us
Annual trips to Myanmar enable us to experience firsthand the value of being in relationship with one another. It is through the building of friendships that our monetary gifts for projects can be put to good use.
The next trip to Myanmar is planned for the summer of 2017/2018.
To express an interest in being a part of a team travelling to Myanmar, contact PCANZ Global Mission Cordinator Phil King, email@example.com

All that we do is in partnership with the Presbyterian Church of Myanmar (PCM). They have a project committee which is made up of members from the 9 synods and specialist areas of PCM. Synods apply to this committee for project approval and from there, the PCM project committee forward on their approved projects to the Myanmar Oversight Group who are based in Auckland, New Zealand.
The 5 project areas that we support are:
– Development Projects
– Income Generating Projects
– Scholarships and Training
– Mission Support
– Emergency Relief
